Shadow and Bone is passionate, dark and magical book. We are in a different world. A world which ruled by darkness, kingdom and magic. And war. there is no good in this book, There is only innocent people who are crushed by the powerful.

Alina is a girl who has no knowledge about her power. When she saves her life and her beloved's, life takes an unexpexted turn. Thereafter she is one of the people who she always wanted to be. But of course everything has a prize.

She is in a place that her eyes never was,  with clothes never dream she would have. Now people pray for her. She is in a place at where she can call home... But then everything takes an unexpected turn again.

The Darkling, as i call him Prince (Dark, Lucifer rings a bell?) i suspected him from the begining but i did not expect this, it was one of the two things which irritated me. It was so classic and so refleshing.

Second one was Malyen. Even In the begining of the book, i did not get that dark powerful image from him. I somewhat excited when The Darkling come but then everything went downside I did not like that Alina was kinda in love with two men. I wish she were a bit more kickass and have more control over her life, she is like a leaf goes where the wind pushes. Though i did like that she gets beaten.

The stag thing, its narration did not satify me it was a nice idea, expected but nice.. ( i don't know if it is the real name i read Turkish edition.)

There were lots of foreign words, names in the book, i could not keep up. After a while i just let go and i did enjoy the book, i did not feel less that i don't remember several name.

Long story short, it impressed me, i finishes it all in one breath. The love story did not impress me though.

The world author created is amazing, it is ruthless, captivating...suprises you with the unexpected things, there is no moders tools, you can feels the might of the magic. I loved that part, I hope that second book will be better. If you like mysterious characters it is a book i would suggest you. Above all if you like dark prince.

As for me, she should choose Prince, you have a powerful, immortal character why would you choose other one. (just forget that small part about him)
